Step on for 60 seconds and know exactly what your body is made of. Muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat, hydration, and more. No guesswork, no bathroom scales, just clinical-grade data to guide your training.
Book Free ConsultationThe InBody scanner measures your skeletal muscle mass across your entire body, broken down by limb. That means your coach can see if you have imbalances between your left and right side, or between your upper and lower body. This information directly influences your programme design, ensuring your training addresses weak points and builds balanced, functional strength.
Total body fat percentage tells you how much of your body weight is fat versus lean tissue. Visceral fat, the fat stored around your organs, is a key health marker that standard scales cannot measure. High visceral fat levels are associated with increased risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, so tracking this number is genuinely important for your long-term health.
The InBody scan uses bioelectrical impedance to assess your total body water and the balance between intracellular and extracellular fluid. These readings give your coach insight into your recovery, hydration habits, and overall cellular health. It is another layer of data that helps us coach you more effectively.
Your first InBody scan establishes a baseline that your coach uses to design your initial programme. Regular follow-up scans, typically every four to six weeks, show exactly what is changing. You can see muscle gains, fat loss, and hydration improvements mapped over time. This takes the guesswork out of training and replaces it with evidence.
Scales tell you how much you weigh. They do not tell you whether that weight is muscle, fat, or water. The InBody scanner separates these components so you get the full picture. Many of our members have seen the scales stay the same while gaining 2kg of muscle and losing 2kg of fat. Without body composition data, they would have thought nothing was working.
Your body composition data helps your coach fine-tune your nutrition guidance. If you are losing muscle alongside fat, your protein intake might need adjusting. If your visceral fat is not shifting despite weight loss, your training intensity might need increasing. These are the kinds of insights that make coaching genuinely personalised.
An InBody scan is a medical-grade body composition analysis that takes 60 seconds. It measures your muscle mass, body fat percentage, visceral fat, hydration, and segmental lean mass using bioelectrical impedance technology.
InBody scanners are used in hospitals and research facilities worldwide. While no body composition method is 100% accurate, InBody is one of the most reliable non-invasive options available and is considered a strong alternative to DEXA scanning.
Yes. All R&B Fitness members receive regular InBody scans as part of their coaching. Your coach schedules scans at check-in intervals to track your progress over time.
For the most consistent results, try to scan at the same time of day, in similar clothing, and ideally before eating or training. Your coach will guide you on the best preparation.
Contact us to discuss standalone scanning options. We are happy to provide one-off scans, although the real value comes from tracking changes over time as part of a coaching programme.
